Carnival

One golden afternoon wandering around the Melbourne Show. Madeleine, in her big pink sunhat, looked like a mushroom sprouting chubby legs.

Punnets of perfectly ripe strawberries, homemade licorice, ice-cream sandwiches, lucky numbers that remained resolutely unlucky.

Warm spring days, precious family time, this is why I look forward to weekends.

  1. The blue outfit brings out her beautiful blue eyes. I completely forgot the show was on. I went once (pre-kids) and got a bit of sunstroke. Walked so much that I could barely move the next day. The best part was watching the dog show (whippets).

Whippets of course! I think you’ll like it if you go this year. Certainly lots for kids (but forget about the show bags, the line was insane).

  2. As always, beautiful pictures, Naomi! It’s so fun to see that you guys are heading into spring while here the first signs of fall are felt.

Thanks Annette. I confess that while I am enjoying spring, I’m jealous of you guys!

Those eyes are amazingly blue and two toned, beautiful little flower she is.

  4. Hi Naomi, the lovely Karen from Rhythm and method suggested I pop over to have a read of your blog and your work. Ive been weaving my way through your posts, the pictures are divine but the one above of your little girls toes is a standout. When my babes were little I wish I had watched more closely to see those little stubby toes form into fully fledged people ones. It reminds me of days spent tickling those tootsies as I walked along with them strapped to me. I think Im going to like visiting here x
